How to set up StreamLocator on iPhone and iPad
Alternatively, If you are looking to connect your iPhone or iPad to the StreamLocator Hub, please refer to this brief guide instead.
App Instructions:
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store
- Type in and search for 'Streamlocator'
- Install the app and open it.
- You can choose to 'Sign in' if you already have an account, or 'Sign up' if you are new.
- Then follow the in-app instructions.
Manual Set up:
Download the StreamLocator config file
- Open this link on your iPhone / iPad. You can also use our QR code.
- Tap Allow when prompted.
Install the DNS profile
Go to Settings -> Tap Profile Downloaded (below your name).
Tap Install (top right) and accept any warnings.
Confirm Setup
- Go to Settings → Your name (Apple ID) → iCloud → Private Relay and make sure that Private Relay is disabled. If it isn't disabled, disable it now.
- Go to Settings → General → VPN & Device Management.
- You should see StreamLocator DNS over HTTPS under Restrictions & Proxies.
Restart your iOS device to apply changes.
Press here to activate StreamLocator on your network. You can activate from any device connected to the same network as your iOS device.
Congratulations! You're ready to stream.
IMPORTANT - When using StreamLocator DNS switching locations and managing your subscription is done on account.streamlocator.com
To switch back to default DNS:
- Go to Settings → General → VPN & Device Management
- Select the StreamLocator profile and switch DNS to Automatic.
