How to Change Locations on Your Browser When Activating a Streaming Service
Some streaming services, like Showtime Anytime require you to activate your streaming device through a browser. Whether on Mobile or PC this can be done by downloading the Opera browser which has a free, built in VPN.
Download and install Opera browser for Windows or Mac here.
Open Opera browser from your PC/Mac and click on the Opera symbol (Red O) on the top left corner of the screen and choose Settings.
In the settings menu, click on Advanced on the left side of the screen and then click on Features.
Enable the VPN by clicking the slider.
Click on the VPN button to the left of the URL bar and choose Americas under Virtual Location.
You can now follow the on-screen instructions on your Fire TV device and activate any accounts that requires a US IP using this browser while the VPN is enabled.
Download Opera through Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and launch it.
Tap the Opera Icon in the bottom corner.
Tap Setting in the menu that appears.
Tap on VPN
Enable the VPN by tapping the slider. Uncheck "Use VPN for private tabs only", and set Virtual Location to America for US services.
You can now follow the on-screen instructions on your Fire TV device and activate any accounts that requires being in the US using this browser while the VPN is enabled.
