How to watch streaming services on a browser from your mobile device

Some services require you to to download their app or restrict you watching content on mobile devices. If you run into a service that requires this while on a browser like Chrome or Safari, you can try this simple fix.

On Chrome for Android & iOS:

This has to be done for each streaming service individually.

Step 1:

Launch Chrome and navigate to the main page of the service you want to watch. We'll be using NBC.com as an example.

Step 2:

Tap the 3-dot-menu in the top right.

Android:

Step 3:

Scroll down and tap Desktop Site or Request Desktop Site.

Android:

iOS:

Step 4:

The page will now refresh and you'll be presented with the desktop version of the page, which means you can stream right from the browser!


On Safari for iOS:

Step 1:

Access the Settings of your iOS device, scroll down and tap Safari.

Step 2:

Scroll down and tap Request Desktop Website under Settings for Websites.

Step 3:

Enable for All Websites.

Step 4:

Launch Safari and navigate to your favorite service as you are now able to stream right from your Safari browser.
