How StreamLocator works with different types of streaming services

For most streaming services:

We support all the most popular streaming services, see the full list here! Since these streaming services are only available in one country, StreamLocator is smart enough to automatically make sure you’re seen as local. BBC iPlayer will see you as in the UK and Hulu will see you as being in the US - even at the same time on different devices!

Multi-Country services:

Netflix:

StreamLocator allows you to select your desired Netflix country. When you change your Netflix country, your Netflix account will automatically adjust to show you all the available titles for that country.

Prime Video:

Unlike Netflix, Amazon Prime doesn’t support country switching within the same Prime account. For Amazon Prime USA, you must have a paid Prime account on Amazon.com. If you select Amazon Prime UK, you must have a paid Prime subscription on Amazon.co.uk. You can find more info about this in our quick overview of Prime Video.

Disney+:

After changing countries, just like Netflix, your account will automatically adjust to show you all the available titles for that country.

Note: Disney+ will require logging out and back in after launching the app for content to refresh on certain devices like Fire TV and Fire TV sticks.

Roku:

To access different apps and channels, including Roku channels not available locally, you can switch between local and US content. Unlike Netflix or Disney+, you'll need to create a new Roku account after changing your country and then log in to that account on your Roku device. You can read more about this in our quick guide on Roku country switching.

This selector also affects the Roku Channel on the Roku device and, if available, the Roku mobile app.

DAZN:

Just like Prime Video, DAZN requires a separate subscription for each region you wish to watch in. The DAZN app itself is the same in all regions but you will need a German subscription for DAZN Germany and a Canadian subscription for DAZN Canada.

Discovery+:

A separate account and subscription are required for each different Discovery+ country you'd like to watch, unlike other services like Netflix or Disney+.

Paramount+:

A separate subscription and app are required for the US and any other country - see our notes on switching Paramount+ countries.
