How to disable Sky Shield on your Sky router

If you are experiencing issues with connectivity to the StreamLocator services and you are a Sky customer, the 'Sky Shield' built into your home router could be causing these issues.

Here is how to disable it:

  1. Access your Sky account: Go to Sky.com and log in using your Sky ID. 
  2. Navigate to Broadband & Talk: Find and click on the "Broadband & Talk" option once logged in. 
  3. Locate Broadband Shield: Scroll down and find the "Broadband Shield" option. 
  4. Disable the Shield: Click on the "Disabled Shield" option. 
  5. Save your settings: Click "Save settings" to finalise the changes.
