How to Disable Virgin Media Advanced Security settings

Some Virgin Media customers will need to disable these features in order to use StreamLocator, if you are suddenly unable to get a signal to our servers, and you are with Virgin Media as your Internet Provider, please follow these instructions below.


  • Install and Launch the My Virgin Media app on your phone, or go to my.virginmedia.com on any web browser on your network.
  • Log into your account.
  • Click on Account Settings - Online Security.
  • Disable both 'Virus Protection' and 'Parental Controls'
