How to change the Appstore region on an LG TV

On LG TVs, you can easily change the Country of your App Store to a different country within your region. For example, I live in Ireland, so I can easily choose the UK or any EU Country directly on the TV.

Note that newer LG TV's may be locked to larger regional blocks and may restrict you to choosing only other countries whithin the continent they were bought in.

For example, if I buy my LG TV in Canada, I will only be able to switch to other countries in North America like the USA or Mexico. If I buy my LG TV in the EU, I may only have the option to switch to other EU countries.

How to change regions:

Access Settings:

Press the Settings button (typically represented by a cogwheel icon) on your LG TV remote.

Find Location Settings:

Navigate to the General menu and then select the Location or System option.

Select LG Service Country:

Find the LG Service Country setting and click on it to enter the country selection menu.

Uncheck "Set Automatically":

Select and uncheck the "Set Automatically" option to disable the automatic region setting.

Choose Your Region:

From the list, select the country you wish to change your TV's region to.

Confirm and Reboot:

Confirm your selection by pressing Yes and allow the TV to restart. Your TV will then reboot, and the new region settings will be applied.

Launch the Appstore:

You can now launch the App Store, accept the terms and conditions, and get the app you wanted.
