How to set up DNS on Android TV devices

You can install the StreamLocator app by searching for 'StreamLocator' in the Google Play Store on your Android TV device. Once installed, this guide will show you how to add it to your StreamLocator account.

However, if you would rather use our DNS directly on the Android TV, below are the steps you will need to take,

  1. Open Settings: From the Android TV home screen, select the Settings gear icon.
  2. Network & Internet: Select Network & Internet, then click your connected Wi-Fi network.
  3. Modify Network: Select IP settings and change it from DHCP to Static.
  4. Set IP Address: You may need to enter an IP address. Keep the first three sets of digits the same as your router (e.g., if your router is 192.168.1.1, set your TV to 192.168.1.xxx , where xxx  is a unique number like 100 ).
  5. Gateway: Enter your router's IP address (commonly 192.168.1.1  or 192.168.0.1 ).
  6. Network Prefix Length: Enter 24 .
  7. DNS Servers: Enter the DNS addresses, Primary - 66.33.68.1 and Secondary - 66.33.68.2
  8. Save: Save the settings, and restart your device for it to take effect.
