What if YouTube TV asks for Location access?

When you access YouTube TV on certain devices, it may ask for location access to confirm that you are in the area listed on your YouTube TV account.

This can happen on, select one to see its dedicated YT TV  set-up guide:

If you simply allow location access, YouTube TV may use GPS to detect your actual location and block playback. The steps below explain how to set up your phone first and then successfully verify your location.

Step 1: Set Up a GPS Spoofer App

Android: Install Fake GPS Joystick from the Google Play Store.

iOS: Install your chosen GPS spoofing app, then follow the app's setup instructions.

Use these coordinates in the GPS spoofer app:

Latitude: 33.728323853875374

Longitude: -96.4738567918539

Once the app is set up, start the GPS spoofing process. Then open the YouTube TV app on your phone and allow it to check your location. This will update the location on your YouTube TV account.

Important: You will need to keep the GPS spoofer app running whenever you want to view YouTube TV on a mobile or tablet device.
